Community Crime Report


As of April 30th Basic Car Area 8A29 is showing a 20% decrease in Part 1 Crime Year to date from last year. This is 64 less crimes this year from last year.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon:
Westwood Blvd. & Wilshire Blvd. RD 833. MO: On 4/29/10, 1630 hours, 61 year old female victim (1) was walking on Westwood Blvd and was punched on her arm by transient/suspect. 73 year old male victim (2) confronted suspect and suspect hit victim (2) on the face, knocking him down. Suspect fled on foot but witness followed him and called police. Suspect was taken in custody without incident.

2400 block Benedict Cyn, RD 0807. MO: Between 04/30/10 at 1400 and 05/03/10 at 0700, suspect(s) entered decedant's estate via rear sliding glass door, removed electronics, silverware, crystal, and a 1962 Jaguar.
500 block Levering Ave. RD 0815. MO: On 04/29/10, between 1130 and 1610, suspect(s) entered the SFR via an unlocked rear kitchen window, removed a laptop.
11800 block Bel Terrace. RD 0805. MO: On 04/23/10, between 0200 and 0745, suspect(s) entered the SFR garage by unknown means, removed two vintage cars.
200 block Mapleton Drive. RD 0819. MO: Between 04/23/10 at 1500 and 04/25/10 at 0630, suspect(s) entered construction site residence via unlocked front door, removed construction equipment.
2900 block N. Beverly Glen. RD 0807. MO: Between 04/24/10, 1900 and 04/25/10, 0845 hours, suspect(s) pried the business front door, removed high-end designer eyeglass frames.
