Evening at Dodger Stadium Celebrates Ray Michaud's 30 Years as JTD Headmaster

This past Saturday, May 15th, 800 guests gathered on the field of Dodger Stadium to celebrate Ray Michaud’s 30 years as Headmaster of John Thomas Dye School in Bel-Air. The event included a dinner, live auction and musical performance by a Neil Diamond tribute band. Those in attendance were current JTD parents, trustees, neighbors, Mr. Michaud’s family and John Amato, head of Harvard-Westlake School.

The evening began with a welcome from actors Jim Belushi, a JTD parent and star of the ABC show, “According to Jim,” and Chris O’Donnell, seen as Robin in the film “Batman Forever” and currently on the series “NCIS: Los Angeles.” After a salutation of the dawn and singing of the National Anthem, Mr. Michaud, a lifetime Dodgers fan, threw the first pitch to JTD alum and former team member Wes Parker. Current players saluted Mr. Michaud in a video tribute shown on the Jumbotron.

Guests bid on items like a private luxury Dodger suite with twenty seats on the first base line, a 2010 Toyota Prius, a VIP tour of Washington, D.C. and a trip to Las Vegas with Mr. Michaud himself, including transportation on a private jet. The auction raised over $650,000 that will go toward construction of the newly dedicated Raymond R. Michaud Academic Center, a 15,000 square foot building for 5th and 6th graders. According to Nat Damon, current Assistant Head, the new building will enable greater integration of technology into the classroom and allow JTD to continue its mission of providing students with individual attention.

The Bel-Air Association congratulates Mr. Michaud on his lifelong dedication to education and the betterment of our community.

I have been surfing online more than 2 hours today,
yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
