Great news from the Bel-Air Association Emergency Preparedness Team!
The Bel-Air Association will be conducting our next FREE CERT/Emergency Preparedness series beginning next week!
What does CERT mean? It stands for Community Emergency Response Team. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.
Understanding that this is very short notice we wanted to secure the class as LAFD received a cancellation and has offered the new time slot to us specifically in Bel-Air. The classes start promptly at 6:00pm and run til 9:00 pm.
PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL FOR THE SPECIFIC DATES.
In order to receive the Los Angeles certification you must attend ALL classes.
Please let us know via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in taking the class as soon as possible!
