I-405 PROJECT: NOTICE OF WORK ACTIVITY - SEPULVEDA BL AROUND WILSHIRE BL

ATTENTION COMMUTERS, RESIDENTS, AND BUSINESSES IN THE VICINITY OF SEPULVEDA BL AROUND WILSHIRE BL

The Contractor will be performing geophysical utility surveys on Sepulveda Bl, north and south of Wilshire Bl. This night time activity requires street lane closures to facilitate the safe use of potholing equipment.

What: Potholing and lane closures on Sepulveda Bl.

When: Work is anticipated to start on Monday, September 13, 2010 for approximately three weeks, weather permitting. Anticipated work hours are from 9:00pm to 6:00am.

Where: Sepulveda Bl, north and south of Wilshire Bl.

What to expect:

• Traffic on Sepulveda will be reconfigured with one lane in each direction.

• Please share the road with cyclists. “Give Me 3” requires that drivers allow three feet when passing bicycles. Be especially cautious in construction zones.

• Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.

• Work is weather permitting and subject to change.

I don't know if anyone else shares these concerns, but there is reference to moving an "ExxonMobil line" in some of the Sunset Bridge documents. Given the accident up north, it sure would be nice to get some information about the nature of this line, what it carries and if it ultimately runs near or through Bel Air.
