I-405 Project; Upcoming Work Activity

Hello,

 

Please see the following regarding upcoming work that will require the closure of the southbound Skirball off-ramp during the day and night time hours beginning next week.

 

ATTENTION COMMUTERS, RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES IN THE

VICINITY OF SKIRBALL CENTER DRIVE AND THE SAN DIEGO

FREEWAY (I-405)

 

The contractor will begin construction of a retaining wall along the southbound I-405 freeway near

the Mulholland Bridge. This work entails widening the freeway slightly to the west and will

support reconstruction of the Mulholland Bridge. The southbound Skirball off-ramp will close

occasionally during both the day and night time to support this work activity. Daytime off-ramp

closures during the week days will occur between the hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and night time

off-ramp closures during the week days will occur between hours of 7:00 pm to 6:00 am. The

southbound Skirball off-ramp closures are anticipated to begin Wednesday, July 6, 2011 and last

approximately 6 weeks, as some weekend ramp closures may occur throughout this work activity.

 

What: Construction of a retaining wall along the southbound I-405 freeway near the

Mulholland Bridge. The southbound Skirball off-ramp will close occasionally

during both the day and night time hours to support this work activity.

 

When: Work is anticipated to begin Wednesday, July 6, 2011. The closure of the

southbound Skirball off-ramp is anticipated to last approximately 6 weeks, as

some weekend ramp closures may occur throughout this work activity.

 

Where: Southbound I-405 freeway near the Mulholland Bridge, requiring occasional

closures of the southbound Skirball off-ramp

 

What to Expect:

The southbound Skirball off-ramp will be close occasionally during the both the day and

night time hours during week days

There may be some weekend closures of the Skirball off-ramp throughout this construction

work activity

 

Please note that the work is weather permitting and subject to change.

Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
