ORIGINAL INFORMATION:

The Bel-Air Association is alerting our community and members to an upcoming protest that is planned for this Friday, October 14, 2011 at approximately 4:00pm at the Hotel Bel-Air.

Although we are told that the protests will begin at 4:00 pm, we have good reason to believe that protesters may begin arriving earlier in the afternoon.

A hospitality workers union has organized a protest of an expected 2000 union members that will position themselves in front of the Hotel Bel-Air and potentially will march down Stone Canyon Road to Sunset Boulevard.

The Los Angeles Police Department will be monitoring the demonstration and plans to maintain order in our neighborhood. The Hotel Bel-Air has advised us that they have made arrangements to keep the disturbance to a minimum.

Please use caution when travelling on and around Stone Canyon Road on Friday.

We anticipate that the protest will be a noisy demonstration and may cause traffic inconveniences and challenges.

Executive Director
