Coyote was spotted running across backyard at 7:45 this morning. Initially, a rustling was heard along side of the house when resident was out front with her dog. After going inside the home, through the windows, she spotted the coyote run across the backyard. She quickly ran out the front and grabbed and brought the dog inside. The coyote ran up the back hill and may still be in the area.

Aaroe Architectural Educational Series: Lecture by Karen Hudson about distinguished grandfather Paul Williams

Dear Friends,

As part of the Aaroe Architectural educational series, John Aaroe asked that I invite interested guests to a lecture that Karen Hudson is giving about architect Paul Williams. This is a rare opportunity as Karen seldom lectures about her distinguished grandfather.

Pacific Design Center (PDC)

Monday, August 29th from 10:45 - Noon

Silver Screen Theater, Second Floor, Center Green

There is no charge or obligation. Simply RSVP to me as we anticipate a full house (250 have already confirmed). We can accommodate 100 more guests total.

Parking is $10 in the PDC lot (accessed via Melrose Avenue only), or meters on the street, or at the new library on San Vicente Boulevard (north of Melrose Avenue on west side). You might even want to have lunch afterwards as there are several good places to walk to.

I hope you take advantage of this terrific offering!

NEAR COYOTE ATTACK: Chalon near Chantilly

Please see below a note from a Bel-Air neighbor:

Just over a week ago when we were letting our dogs out at around 9pm, the youngest dog (60lbs) started barking and jumped a wall to another area of the garden . We called him to come back. He returned shortly with a large coyote close behind him.

He jumped back to the lawn area and luckily the coyote didn't follow him! The coyote ran up the hill where there was a second one waiting near the trees . We live on Chalon Rd near Chantilly .

Bel-Air Times - A Grand New Paper

Bel-Air Times - A Grand New Paper

By: Jonathan Elkin

Today's paper is on a discovery of a treasure chest in my back yard. But, the sad part of that was the chest was not a good find. And, it fell apart in my hand. I thought I was rich, but no. So, if you find a chest of gold or see anything that should be in the Bel-Air Times news, email us at mnmts@aol.com.
