This contains construction updates in regards to the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project:
The work schedule for the ongoing utility relocation work on Sepulveda Blvd. near Mountaingate Dr. has been revised. The LA Dept. of Water and Power, in addition to working nights and intermittently on weekends, will now work during the day time hours on week days. Day time work is now necessary in order for the LA Dept. of Water and Power to expedite the work. This work requires Sepulveda Blvd. to be reduced to one lane in each direction each day from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm to 6:00 am in order to conduct this work. ATTENTION COMMUTERS, RESIDENTS, AND BUSINESSES IN THE
VICINITY OF SEPULVEDA BL BETWEEN MOUNTAINGATE DR AND
SKIRBALL CENTER DR
The schedule for the work involving the relocation of existing overhead utility lines along
Sepulveda Bl has been revised. In addition to night time and possibly weekend work, work crews
will now conduct work during the day time hours in order for the Los Angeles Department of
Water and Power to expedite the work. Weekday work will be performed between 9:00 am and
3:00 pm and 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. In addition, intermittent weekend work may be conducted
continuously from Friday night at 9:00 pm through Monday at 6:00 am. This work, which is
necessary to support the relocation of the southbound Skirball ramps and the widening of
Sepulveda Bl, will be conducted along Sepulveda Bl between Mountaingate Dr and the area
located approximately 500 feet north of Skirball Center Dr. This work activity is anticipated to last at least a few more months and requires traffic along Sepulveda Bl to be reduced to one lane in each direction during work hours. Sepulveda Bl will be fully open during non-work hours.
What: Overhead utility lines to be placed underground
When: Weekdays, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm to 6:00 am, with intermittent weekend
work occurring Friday night at 9:00 pm until Monday at 6:00 am.
Where: Sepulveda Bl between Mountaingate Dr and the area located approximately 500 feet
north of Skirball Center Dr.
What to expect:
- Sepulveda Bl will be reduced to one lane in each direction during work hours.
- Sepulveda Bl will be fully open during non-work hours.
- Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
- This work will be performed by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power
