CONSTRUCTION SITE BURGLARIES

THE WEST LOS ANGELES AREA HAS EXPERIENCED AN INCREASE IN BURGLARIES FROM CONSTRUCTION SITES, PRIMARILY IN THE RANCHO PARK AND BEL AIR AREAS. MOST BURGLARIES ARE OCCURRING DURING THE NIGHT BY UNKNOWN SUSPECTS WHO ARE BREAKING THE PAD LOCKS TO THE STORAGE CONTAINERS AND REMOVING TOOLS.

IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY REMODELING OR ARE PLANNING TO REMODEL YOUR RESIDENCE, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE CRIME PROBLEM ANDTAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS BY DISCUSSING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WITH CONTRACTORS TO MINIMIZE POSSIBILITY OF THEFTS.

CONSIDER USING MOTION-ACTIVATED LIGHTS, SECURITY CAMERAS, AND HIGH-SECURITY LOCKS.

Burglary:

10700 block Rochester Ave. RD 0834. MO: On 01/09/12 between 0925 hours and 1705 hours, suspect(s) entered single family residence via unlocked side door, removed electronics and jewelry.

200 block N. Bentley Ave. RD 0805. MO: Hot prowl. Between 01/07/12 at 2230 hrs and 01/08/12 at 0630 hrs, suspect(s) entered the single family residence via unlocked kitchen door, removed TV, art frame, and broke into vehicle in driveway and garage.

900 block Thayer Ave. RD 0828. MO: On 01/05/12 between 1000 hrs and 1500 hrs, suspect(s) entered the residence via unlocked side window, removed jewelry.

2900 block N. Beverly Glen Blvd. RD 0807. MO: Between 01/06/12 at 2330 hrs and 01/07/12 at 1000 hrs, suspect(s) attempted forced entry without success by prying the business rear door.

900 block Malcom Ave. RD: RD: 0828. MO: 12/16/11, 1645 hrs to 01/04/12, 0945 hrs, unknown suspect(s) entered residence by unknown means and removed iPhone.

1300 block Club View Drive. RD: 0829. MO: 12/15/11, 1630 hrs to 12/16/11, 0630 hrs, unknown suspect pried open the pedestrian door to the garage, the alarm sounded and the suspect(s) fled without taking any property. (Construction site).

700 block Sarbone Rd. RD 0806. MO: Construction site. On 01/04/12 at 0245 hrs, suspect(s) broke perimeter gate lock, entered structure activating alarm. Suspect(s) fled without property.
