Skirball Bridge Reconstruction


ATTENTION COMMUTERS, RESIDENTS, AND BUSINESSES IN
THE VICINITY OF THE SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (I-405) AND
SKIRBALL CENTER DRIVE

The south half of the Skirball Bridge is now under construction. It is anticipated that the
reconstruction of the south half of the bridge will take approximately 10 months. There will
be frequent closures of the northbound and southbound Skirball on- and off-ramps during
the day and night time hours. The public will be notified of any upcoming closures of the
Skirball Bridge and full directional freeway closures that will be scheduled to support the
reconstruction of the Skirball Bridge.

What: Skirball Bridge reconstruction

When: Reconstruction of the south side of the Skirball Bridge is anticipated to take
approximately 10 months. Work will be conducted during the day and night
time hours.

Where: Skirball Center Drive at the I-405 freeway

What to Expect:
- Night time closure of the Skirball ramps may start as early as 7:00 PM and remain
closed to about 6:00 AM and day time closures may occur between 9:00 AM and 3:00
PM. Please check our website, www.metro.net/405, for confirmation of closures.
- Emergency access will be maintained on the bridge at all times.
- Please note that the work is weather permitting and subject to change.
