Coyote kills dog + 2 other sightings nearby - 600-900 blocks of Stone Canyon

Please see below a report from a Bel-Air neighbor:

- Aggressive coyote in yard in 800 block of Stone Canyon. Chased 2 year old dog.  Owner was able to chase the thing off before he closed on the dog.

- Last Friday, July 26th--a coyote killed a dog in the backyard during the night in the 900 block of Stone Canyon (between Capello Way and Somma Way).  There was a doggy door for them to go to the bathroom.  In the morning, one dog was inside, but the other dog's carcass was found in the yard.

- A coyote was seen in a yard taunting a dog in the 600 block of Stone Canyon.

In addition to notifying our Bel-Air resources at coyotereport@hotmail.com, please report ALL coyote or aggressive wildlife sightings to West Los Angeles Animal Services @ 310-207-3156 to file a "Wildlife Sighting Report."

[Tell them Officer Randall (the Officer in charge of our area) asked specifically that Bel-Air is to make, and the Shelter is to accept, phone reports.]

You would file this report whether it was a mountain lion or a coyote.
