SUNSET/405 RAMP CLOSURE MADNESS
The 405 project continues to be a challenge for the residents in the Moraga, Sepulveda Acanto and Thurston areas of Bel-Air. Despite the constant efforts of the Bel-Air Association Traffic Committee, LA Metro and their contractors have continued to behave in an arbitrary fashion with limited concern for the residents directly affected by their actions.
Now that the Sunset Exit Ramp will be closed for 120 days -- WE NEED YOU AND EVERYONE IN OUR IMPACTED COMMUNITY to contact LA Metro, Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and Councilmember Paul Koretz and VOICE YOUR CONCERNS.
Just last night, there were 50 to 75 cars backed up on Moraga at 11:00 pm.
Cars were turning around in private driveways and driving recklessly looking for a detour out of our gridlocked neighborhood!
The Bel-Air Association has frequently articulated the numerous concerns of our residents -- often with very limited responses. To get these agencies to take notice of our outrage, we MUST have our residents call and email on an individual basis to address the many challenges encountered day to day by this closure.
Please contact the following individuals to voice your concerns AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Mike Barbour, LA Metro
Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky
Councilmember Paul Koretz
Jay Greenstein, Transportation Deputy
