Coyote kills dog in the 700 Block of Sarbonne

Please see below a report from a Bel-Air neighbor:

Homeowners in the 700 block of Sarbonne were barbecuing at 4:45 pm today--went inside with their small dog.  Their small dog heard something outside and ran up the hill in their backyard.  Neighbor from above yelled at the homeowner to alert him about the coyote, but it was too late.  Coyote killed their dog.  The family is heart broken.

There is clearly at least one aggressive coyote--from my understanding, that coyote's territory would be all the way from Chantilly to Bel Air Rd and north in the hills (Stradella, Stradella Court, Savona, upper Stone Canyon, etc).

In addition to notifying our Bel-Air resources at, please report ALL coyote or aggressive wildlife sightings to West Los Angeles Animal Services @ 310-207-3156 to file a "Wildlife Sighting Report."

[Tell them Officer Randall (the Officer in charge of our area) asked specifically that Bel-Air is to make, and the Shelter is to accept, phone reports.]

You would file this report whether it was a mountain lion or a coyote.
