Advisory: Utility Customers Beware of Telephone Scam
Hi Bel-Air Association,
LADWP Customers are being warned of a scam involving callers who are claiming to be utility company employees seeking payments for overdue bills.   All utility customers should be aware that payments can only be made via an automated system, online or by mail.  In addition, utility companies do not notify customers via the telephone regarding overdue bills.
All utility customers should be aware of this recent scam regardless of service provider.
Anyone who believes they have been the victim of this type of activity are encouraged to call their local police.
