Cascada Way Traffic Plan - Public Hearing January 12, 2016

                 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

This notice is sent to you because you own property, or are an occupant, residing near a site for which an application, as described below, has been submitted to the Department of Transportation.  

All interested persons are invited to attend a public hearing at which you may listen, ask questions, or present testimony regarding the project.  

You will be given a chance to submit a voter card at the end of the hearing in favor of, or against, the application.  If you are not able to attend the public hearing, but wish to submit your comments in favor of, or against the application, you will have a 30-day comment period following the hearing in which to do so.

Project Title: Cascada Way Neighborhood Traffic  Management Plan in the Bel-Air Estates area  of Los Angeles

Project Location:    Intersection of Cascada Way and Bellagio Road, Los Angeles, CA 

Project Description:  Pursuant to Section 80.14 of the Los Angeles Municipal Code, installation of “No Left Turn, 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Monday to Friday” turn restriction sign for northbound traffic at Cascada Way and Bellagio Road to address issues related to cut through traffic on neighborhood roadways; which is expected to reduce traffic congestion and diminish the potential for traffic collisions due to excess traffic volumes and vehicle speeds.

In compliance with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act, an initial study has been prepared to assess the potential environmental impacts of this project.  

No significant impacts are anticipated and no mitigation measures are required.  

Therefore, a Negative Declaration is proposed to be adopted by the Los Angeles City Council.  This notice, as well as, the public hearing, are intended to give interested parties an opportunity to comment on the environmental study.

Exhaustion of Administrative Remedies:      If you challenge a City action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence on these matters delivered to the Department before the action on this matter will become a public part of the administrative record.

Accommodations: As a covered entity under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of Los Angeles does not discriminate on the basis of disability.  

The hearing facility and its parking are wheelchair accessible.  Sign language interpreters, assistive listening devices, or other auxiliary aids and/or services may be provided upon request.  

Other services, such as translation between English and other languages, may also be provided upon request.
